We often assume that artists begin their craft at a young age, but that’s not always the case.
Grigor is a living example of someone who started his journey later in life. He took up wood carving after his time in the army, while his father began even later, at 50! Initially, it was just a hobby, and Grigor struggled and became discouraged, even stepping away from it for a year. However, something inspired him to give it another shot, and this time he found success. 🪴
An interesting event occurred in 1999 with Grigor when American Peace Corps volunteers visited. They wanted to collect ornaments from around the world to decorate the Christmas tree at their headquarters in the White House. Grigor and his father were among the people who gave their work and they were really hung on the Christmas tree in the White House. 🎄
Grigor’s story teaches us that hard work and perseverance can lead to success, no matter when we start. It also reminds us that it’s never too late to learn new skills or embark on a different path. Life doesn’t end at 30 or 35; it can be just the beginning. With practice and good intentions, we can always find our way forward. ✨
